Destiny of 10 Minors Yet Unknown
The bodies of 90 miners killed by a blast at Zasyadko coal mine in Donbass November 20, 2007 were found as of yesterday. The destiny of ten minors is yet unknown, though the chance that they are still alive is slim. The experts proceed with the probe into Ukraine’s worst mining accident. Fifty six bodies have been identified as of yesterday.
Coal mining hasn’t been halted despite the tragedy, the minors claim challenging statements of officials that only repair and rescue operations are being held there.

According to minors, the managers force them to descend to the coalface under the threat of dismissal. The overall area of the mine field exceeds 200 sq kilometers and is divided into four extraction blocks - the first, the second, the third and the seventh ones. The accident happened in the seventh block, the 13th eastern face, where the rescue operations are underway. The workers set to repair and renewal operations in the 13th western face. But minors insist that managers make them work in the third block.

The management of the mine refuted the information yesterday.
