Nevzlyn to Quit Politics
April 2, Leonid Nevzlin, YUKOS co-owner stated that he was leaving the big politics . He admitted that it had been Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s article “Crisis of Liberalism in Russia” that influenced this decision.
In his interview to Izvestia Newspaper Nevzlin said he was sorry to leave Irina Khakamada and other people with similar views without support, but he was compelled to do so. “I don’t want and I can’t harm my friend,” – the entrepreneur explained.
In his interview Leonid Nevzlin declared that “a country that keeps Khodorkovsky in prison has no future,” while the power in this country “is populist, mendacious and anti-national”.
