Russians are Coming
September 9, Ahmed Zakaev, the emissary for Chechen separatists' leader Aslan Maskhadov, stated in London that Russian special services may try to kill representatives of the Chechen separatists on the territory of the European countries, Associated Press reports.
That is the way Zakaev interpreted statement made by Head of General Staff of Russia's Armed Forces Yury Baluevsky that “Russia's Armed Forces will take preventive measures to eliminate terrorists.”
“It is a warning to all the European countries that Russians can carry out an operation at their territories at any time,” Akhmed Zakaev stated. “While the war in Chechnya is going on, nobody is insured against Yandarbiev's fate,” the emissary stated. Let us remind you that one of the leaders of the Chechen separatists Zelimkhan Yandarbiev was killed in a car-bombing in the Qatar capital of Doha on February 13, 2004. Russian security officers Anatoly Belashkov and Vasily Bogachev were detained On February 19, and returned guilty in Yandarbiev's murder June 30.
Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry has once again required to extradite Zakaev, who has been given political asylum by Great Britain. Moreover, on Wednesday, the FSB announced a $10 million reward for any information, which will help capture Shamil Basaev and Aslan Maskhadov.

Mikhail Gorbachev Speaks for an Open Investigation
Mikhail Gorbachev also did not remain indifferent to the statements made by Russia's top-officials made after the Beslan seizure. Commenting on Putin's statement that internal investigation will be enough, former USSR President said the investigation would be far more adequate if the Russian parliament and society take part in it, and called for an open and thorough analysis of the events in Beslan. “Efforts to release the hostages ended in a most mournful way. Society has the right to expect an open investigation of the seizure,” Gorbachev told the journalists at a conference in Hamburg.
