Prosecutors Warned Newsweek Russia
Moscow prosecutors have warned Newsweek Russia due to publication of articles that could inflame the interethnic and inter-religious strife, Interfax reported.
Moscow prosecutors cautioned the edition because of its 40th issue (September 29 – October 5), to be more precise because of the articles headlined: “Who Will Come with Mosque to Us,” and “The Mosque Carriers.”

According to the prosecutors, those articles contain the information clashing the Moslems and the Christians. What’s more, the articles were illustrated by Prophet Mohammed’s cartoon published in Danish Jyllands-Posten.

It was the Russian Mufti Council that initiated the inspection in the middle of October. The key claim related exactly to the reprint of cartoon, which release in 2005 sparkled worldwide protest rallies of Muslims.
