So, Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov inked a ruling committing the officials to shape basic actions to be taken in 2007 to 2012 to get ready for festivities. The intention is to restore memorial places, monuments of history and architecture dedicated to the War of 1812.
In addition, Moscow will create new museum expositions, host exhibitions, theater performances, research and practical conferences and round tables. It is planned to produce special signs and souvenirs, release books and make documentary and feature films. Moscow children and teenagers will be offered to visit the actual places of battles, including historical Borodino.
